This one and a half-story astylistic utilitarian service building features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a concrete foundation, a wood frame construction, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Dormers intersect with the main roof in the attic story. Description of Complex: The Langlade Rearing Station (31 14E-01) is located off of Highway 64, one and a half miles east of Langlade in Langlade County. This rearing Station is within the Nicolet National Forest next to Dalton Creek. The complex consists of a residence (1940), a rearing station office/garage (1940), the rearing house (1938), an oil shed (1944), storage buildings and raceways. The office and the residence have been resided with pale adam green aluminum/vinyl siding with brown wood trim. The other buildings remain very similar to when they were constructed, typically, exposed concrete block, exposed rafter tails, and wood trim details. All the structures in the complex, including the raceways, are in average condition. |
