NOTES
Additional Information:Paired brackets under overhanging eaves; round south corner tower with conical roof flank the facade; two story pedimented gable roofed two story portico with balustrated first and second story porches and colossal Corinthian columns; three sided north bay window. Segmental arched windows with four over four lights; one story small porch in angle of house. Tower on corner with shingles. A Neo-Classic influenced two-story portico with pedimented gable and two-story portico colossal columns with Corinthian Capitals were added to update the Thomas Gaynor House, originally built in a style characterized by a blend of Queen Anne Revival and Italianate architectural elements. Important as a historic house, the Gaynor House is significant as an example of the transition between the Italianate and Queen Anne Revival styles as well as an example of the eclectic nature of architecture in the late 19th century in Chippewa Falls, reflecting American architecture in general.
