Additional Information: | ROUND DOMED STRUCTURE OF ROCK WITH WATER FALL AREA. FIELDSTONE SHRINE TO THE WORLD'S PUREST WATER. 2021 - This fieldstone fountain was constructed in 1976 by the Chippewa Falls Jaycees and the Combat Construction Section of the 397th Engineering Battalion of the U.S. Army Reserve. It is a domed structure constructed with fieldstone set in roughly uniform courses, located in the center of a concrete pad and surrounded by benches at the eastern edge of Marshall Park. The fountain features a low rim in front and a high back, with water cascading from the top into the pool in the center. A dedication panel is inset flat into the front rim. |
