It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. office building, garage, dwelling, warehouse, oil house, flag pole all built or placed in 1936 by CCC and WPA crews. 1936-present; 1933-1942 is period of significance This site consists of five original buildings, which include office, car garage, dwelling, warehouse, and oil house. Another garage associated with the dwelling was built post 1950 and a second dwelling and garage are post 1950. The original elements were all built or placed in 1936 by CCC and WPA workers. Update 1994: A DOE was accomplished and site determined eligible for NRHP. Update 1995: Forest Service decided to dispose of some buildings and modify others for use and maintenence. Historic American Building Survey documentation was accomplished in order to do so. Documents show that the site was originally called the Keyes Lake Ranger Station Site. Update 2005: Mitigation of the site was completed per MOA. Archaeological survey was conducted prior to conveyance to private ownership, establishing that the significant soil disturbance is now present throughout the site area.
