ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: THE HOOPER HOUSE IS AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF THE SHINGLE STYLE. THERE ARE UNUSUAL SHINGLE PATTERNS ON THE HOUSE. THERE IS ALSO A CARRIAGE HOUSE IN THE REAR (SEPARATE RECORD). HISTORICAL STATEMENT: JESSIE JACK HOOPER WAS RECOGNIZED AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVELS IN THE STRUGGLE FOR WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE AND IN THE INTERNATIONAL PEACE MOVEMENT.
