NOTES
Additional Information:2015:
The Phillip and Mary Wolf House, built c.1884, is a two-story gable ell with walls clad in vinyl replacement siding and a gable roof covered with asphalt shingles. A brick chimney extends above the roofline at the junction of the gable and ell. A hip roof porch spans the front (south) facade of the gable block, supported by wood Tuscan columns resting on concrete plinths and a concrete deck. A hip roof polygonal bay window projects on the front facade of the ell, flanked by a small octagonal window. A small enclosed side porch extends on the east (side) elevation. Windows are one-over-one, double-hung, replacement sash with imitation four-over-four muntins, with the exception of two picture windows on the front facade of the gable block, which retain their leaded-glass transoms. The property also includes carriage house/stable clad in corrugated metal located east of the house.

Records at the Washington County - Register of Deeds Office reveal that Phillip and Mary Wolf purchased the two-acre parcel on which the house is situated from Sophia Haug on 3 September 1884. The parcel was described as "commencing 23.44 rods east of the northwest corner of the northwest quarter of Section 16 [of the then - Town of Germantown] ... and being part and parcel thereof, from thence running east along with the center of the section line road for 15.76 rods to a point, thence running southerly to the centre of the Fond du Lac Road for 22.88 rods to a point, thence running northerly to the place of beginning for 14.28 rods." The extant house may or may not have stood at the time of purchase.

Records at the Register of Deeds Office reveal that Phillip and Mary sold the land to Elizabeth Meunier on 6 July 1892.
