Additional Information: | BUILT IN 1972 (SEE BIB. REF. A), THIS ASTYLISTIC UTILITARIAN CARRIAGE HOUSE FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A CLAPBOARD EXTERIOR, A WOOD TRIM, AND A SHINGLED, GABLE ROOF. THE OVERHANGING ROOF JUTS OUTWARD TO SHELTER A SECOND STORY DOOR, WHICH APPEARS ON THE FACADE. THIS BUILDING IS IN GOOD CONDITION. KNOWN HISTORICALLY AS THE SHAKE RAG VALLEY CARRIAGE HOUSE (SEE BIB. REF. A), THIS STRUCTURE NOW HOUSES A RETAIL BUSINESS. THE BUILDING WAS LOCALLY DESIGNATED IN 1972 AND IS PART OF THE MINERAL POINT LANDMARK DISTRICT. |
