Additional Information: | This two story front gabled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a stucco foundation, a clapboard exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable roof and dormer. Distinguishing the side elevation is a two story bay capped in the attic story by a gabled pediment. The residence was built in 1902 and is in fair condition. (See Bib. Ref. A). It is related to a garage, a building of which no further description was given in the Intensive Survey Form. Architectural/Engineering Singificance: This property meets criteria C of that National Register requiremens because the property retains enough of the character that it had when the town of Barton was growing and developing. This building contributes to the whole character of the Barton Historic District. |
