Additional Information: | This two story front gabled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a stucco foundation, an asphalt sided exterior, a wood trim and an asphalt shingled gable roof. Found througout the house are rectangular windows, most of which have one-over-one panes and two of which have two-over-two panes. The residence was built in 1860 and is in fair condition. (See Bib. Ref. A). Architectural/Engineering Significance: This property meets cirteria C of the National Register requirements because the property retains enough of the character that it had when the town of Barton was growing and developing. This building contributes to the whole character of the Barton Historic District. |
