NOTES
Additional Information:This one story side gabled house features a rectangular shaped plan configuration, a stucco exterior, an asbestos sided exterior, a wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gabled roof. Projecting forward on the facade is a partially enclosed porch, whose shed roof is supported in the open corner by a wrought iron post. A patio built in 1966 (see Bib. Ref. A), one-over-one windows and a brick chimney are other architectural elements of the dwelling. The 1890 residence, which was re-roofed in 1985, is in fair condition. (See Bib. Ref. A). It is related to a garage, a building which was constructed in 1966. (See Bib. Ref. A). Architectural/Engineering Significance: This property meets criteria C of the National Register requirements because the porperty retains enough of the character that it had when the town of Barton was growing and developing. This building contributes to the whole character of the Barton Historic Distirct. (According to the Intensive Survey Form, this dwelling was considered in 1987 to be contributing to the then proposed Barton Historic Distirct).
