Additional Information:DEMOLISHED BY THE CIVIC CENTER. Intact bracketed cornice segmentaly arched window hoods keystones. The house at 709 is currently used as apartments and was originally built as two townhouse units. The cream brick Italianate structure is identical in form and detailing to its neighbor at 707 Franklin (MN51-22). As with 707, all windows, doorways (including recessed side panels) and architectural detailing remain intact. Together, 707 and 709 Franklin Street provide a unique grouping of Italianate style townshouses in the city.
