Additional Information:"ONCE THIS BUILDING HOUSED ONE OF THE MORE IMPORTANT MARBLE WORKING ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE "INTERIOR" OF THE STATE. THE PROPERTY ORIGINALLY EXTENDED TO WATER ST. AND CONSISTED OF STONE CUTTING SHEDS AND A DISPLAY YARD. TURNER STARTED THE BUSINESS AT THIS SITE IN 1867. HIS SON, WILLIAM, ALSO WENT INTO THE BUSINESS WHICH SURVIVED UNTIL THE 1950S. MANY OF THE OLD TOMBSTONES AT HILLSIDE CEMETERY WERE MADE HERE." Columbus Historic Architecture Tours, undated.
