The North Avenue Commercial Building is a large, two story Spanish Colonial Revival building. It is approximately square in plan, masonry foundation, and masonry load-bearing walls. Decorative tile roof caps the building. Exterior details include limestone pilasters, storefront windows, and black tile curbing int he entrances. 6/1 double hung windows rest on stone sills. A continuous stone string course runs between the store fronts and the windows. A stone entablature extends along the main elevations. A brick tower rises from the southwest corner of the building. The tile roof of the building is punctuated by three Mission Style parapets. These contain rectangular niches infilled with decorative ceramic tiles. Historic interior features include wooden doors, window and door surrounds, and baseboards.
