Services in German until 1919. Porch and wings date from 1947. Addition - 1896. Anniversary book dates construction as 1888. St. Lucas Congrregation was incorperated in 1872 as Deutsch Evangelisch Lutherusche St. Lucas Germeinde zu Bay View. Construction of the first church began in 1872 on land donated by he Milwaukee Iron Company. It was later converted to a school (now demolished) when the present church was constructed. |
