2020: The Goette Road Bridge was constructed in 1878 by the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad to carry the railroad over Goette Road. The 1-span, spandrel arch bridge measures approximately 24 feet in length and is of cut stone construction. Ringstones and a slightly larger keystone are of matching stone as the remainder of the structure. A stone block above the keystone is inscribed with the year “1878.” Stepped stone wingwalls project from each corner. The bridge was expanded on the east side in 1896 to allow for a double track.
