Additional Information:THIS HOUSE FEATURES A STONE FOUNDATION AND AN ASBESTOS SHINGLED EXTERIOR. AN ELABORATE DOOR SURROUND, COMPLETE WITH PILASTERS, A TRANSOM WINDOW AND SIDELIGHTS, IS DESIGNED IN THE FEDERAL STYLE. ACCORDING TO THE INVENTORY CARD FOR THIS PROPERTY, THE DWELLING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1835. ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN ALTERED ARCHITECTURALLY, THIS RESIDENCE IS PRESENTLY IN GOOD CONDITION. IT WAS KNOWN HISTORICALLY AS THE HARRIS COTTAGE. (HABS WI-239), (SEE BIB. REF. A).
