Additional Information: | The address for this property was first recorded in the inventory as POST RD & SOUTH DR. Originally surveyed in 1978. Original owner was John H. Morrison (1822?-1876), then owned in 1876 by Allen A. Walbridge who is believed to have added the second story. Later became Oriental Hotel and then re-converted to a residence. In 1983, became a restaurant and is now vacant (2006). Other owners of the building include John L. Moore (1820?-1853), John H. (or Sarah A.) Morgan (1830?-1896), Eugene A. Sherman (1857-1912), James W. Pierce (1858?-1924), Leo Pierce (1891-1945), O.D. Hilmer, Joseph Obrachta, Jane Ann (Pierce) and Paul Thomasgard, William and Helen Sowiak, Timothy and Louise Mulderink, Case and Susan Van Kleef, and Christine Scharrer and Lisa Bishop. |
