This two-story astylistic utilitarian garage features an L-shaped plan configuration, a rock-faced concrete block exterior, wood trim, and an asphalt shingled gable roof with three gabled dormers on the facade. The first floor is comprised of concrete, while the second is of hardwood. The finished interior includes a painted and plastered first-floor ceiling. The back of the L- shaped building is heated with a hose drying rack on the exterior. Built in 1933 and remodeled in 1937, this eight-stall structure is in good condition. The Mercer Ranger Station garage has functioned as garage, a place of general storage, and a work shop. Associated buildings, an office and two storage buildings, exist on the site. |
