John Dishmaker was an investor in the Bach, Kieweg & Poser Company store, one of Kewaunee's most important commercial businesses. John and Augusta Dishmaker lived in this house until his death in 1921 when their daughter, Edna, and her husband moved in. They sold the house in 1956.
