Additional Information:John Borgman came to Kewaunee from Green Bay as a child. He learned his father's building and carpentry trade and studied for three months at a Milwaukee business college. He started a lumber business in Kewaunee in 1881 and was active in other Kewaunee businesses as well. He also held a number of local political offices. He owned the house until 1922 and his wife continued to own it until at least 1950.
