Additional Information: | The Mud Lake Wildlife Area Dam was constructed by the Wisconsin Conservation Department in about 1948. It is an earthen embankment dam that spans the junction between Mud Lake and Rocky Run Creek. The dam measures approximately 300 feet in length and 25 feet in width. Grass and other vegetation covers the dam crest as well as both slopes; an access trail (consisting of two wheel tracks) runs along the crest of the dam providing access from Hagan Road to the east and Tollefson Road to the north. The water along both sides of the dam is covered in cattail mats with the densest concentration located along the edges of Mud Lake (north of the dam). |
