Additional Information: | 2023: This one and one-half story single-family residence is a side-gable Cape Cod subtype of the Minimal Traditional form constructed circa 1940. It is L-shaped in plan with a side-gabled roof over the living space and a smaller, gabled wing in the rear. The foundation is poured concrete that has been covered in a stone veneer. The original exterior siding has been covered or replaced with vinyl siding. Except for the two fixed sash windows in the principal elevation, the windows throughout are one-over-one hung sash wood windows. The principal elevation faces west toward Lincoln Street. It is symmetrical in plan with a front-gabled entrance foyer at its center and large single lite fixed sash wood windows evenly spaced on either side. The primary entrance door is slightly offset in the foyer and is accessed via poured concrete steps lined with wrought iron railings. The street-facing roof slope (west) features two symmetrically placed front-gabled dormers. All gable ends are articulated with pent eave returns. The windows are flanked by fixed, louvered shutters. A single bay, detached garage stands behind the house at the end of the property driveway. |
