NOTES
Additional Information:This 2-story Queen Anne building was constructed in 1903 and contained a post office and a harness shop, but its longest function (1914-1999) was as Citizens State Bank. It is rectangular in plan with pebble-dash siding (added in 1969) across the first story and painted brick at the second story. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition with recessed entrances at each end of the façade. Between these are banks of metal-framed shop windows. A metal pent roof spans the width of both street facades above the first story. The second story of the primary facade contains a central pair of 1-over-1 windows in a segmentally-arched opening with a large keystone. Large bay windows are located east and west of this. Each bay window contains a central single-pane window, smaller 1-over-1 windows in each side, and a classically-inspired, bracketed hood. Above the second story, a wide cornice band with dentil detailing wraps around the building. Above this, a parapet features panels of engaged, cast stone balusters.
