Additional Information: | This 1-story Contemporary house was constructed c.1950. It is rectangular in plan with artificial stone veneer siding and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition with a front-gabled mass projecting from the west half of the main building mass. A hipped-roof porch is located in the ell between the two building masses; the porch features squared wood supports and a stone-veneered knee wall. It is accessed via a set of rounded concrete steps with a metal handrail. Both front corners of the house feature “wrap-around” picture windows (comprised of individual single-pane windows on both corner planes). Staggered planter boxes with faux stone brackets are mounted at intervals on the north and west walls. Composition board siding is located under the gables. A wide, stepped, red brick chimney with stone accents is located on the west elevation, spanning the height of the wall and projecting through the eave. |
