| Additional Information: | This small concrete block structure was built c.1950 to provide hot and cold water to an adjacent washroom building (not extant). It is rectangular in plan with concrete block walls and a flat roof clad in sheet metal. A hinged board door is located in the east wall of the structure. A cylindrical metal water tank sits on the roof; historically, this tank provided cold water to the washhouse. A hot water heater that supplied the washhouse with hot water has been removed. Because the water supply shed appears to be constructed of concrete masonry units (CMUs), a building material developed in the later 1940s, it may have been constructed as a replacement for an earlier structure on the property. |
