It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. The basement barn is banked on the west elevation. It has an almost gambrel shaped gothic-arched roof, vertical wood siding, an asphalt shingle roof, and a concrete foundation. The raised basement is seen on the east elevation. It has a bank of openings filled with single lights. There are large sliding doors on both east and west elevations that are made up of vertical boards. The interior of the basement story has a concrete floor and structural beams and posts made up of rough-hewn logs. There are wooden stalls. The loft area has a lamella structural roof made up of milled lumber. The lamella roof is a distinctive and unusual construction method. |
