Additional Information: | This c.1880, two-story house with Italianate details is of frame construction with a rectangular plan and asbestos shingle siding on a stone foundation. The front-gable roof is covered with asphalt singles and features cornice returns, paired decorative brackets, and a centrally located brick chimney. The partial-length, flat-roof porch located on the front (north) facade has wood spindlework detailing. The side (east) elevation also features a partial-length, flat-roof porch with spindlework detailing. The house has an enclosed, shed-roof, full-width porch addition on the rear (south) elevation. Windows are a combination of original, six-over-six, wood, single-hung sash and replacement, one-over-one, metal, double-hung sash. Aerial images show a small number of outbuildings that sit behind the house that are obscured by vegetation from the right-of-way. These structures include a c.1910 brick, front-gable outbuilding to the east of the house (AHI No. 245945), a c.1910 wood shed at the southwest corner of the house (AHI No. 245946), a c.1910 side-gable wood shed to the southeast of the house (AHI No. 245947), a c.1940 shed building with a metal roof (AHI No. 245948), and a c.1910 two-story wood barn (AHI No. 245949). Two additional c.1910 structures sit in the southwest corner of the property (AHI Nos. 246235 and 246236) and are visible from aerials but not visible from the right-of-way. |
