Additional Information: | The bank barn has a large upper level with a gable roof sitting on a raised stone foundation that is banked into a rise. Barn is covered with vertical boards and the same material makes up large sliding doors throughout. There is a standing seam metal roof. Punctuating the exposed stone foundation walls are several sets of grouped window openings. The interior of the barn has some milking stalls and extant equipment suggestive of a dairy operation. Attached to one side of the building is the one-story milk house (245794), a small rectangular addition with wood lap siding, a concrete foundation, and vertical wood doors. The old granary (245798) is attached to one end of the barn via an open parking space. The granary is one-and-one-half stories with a one-story lean-to ell along the back wall. It has vertical board wood siding and a metal roof. On the exposed end wall are three openings filled with modern single-light sash windows. |
