NOTES
Additional Information:This Contemporary commercial building was constructed in 1996 as a Family Video store; although the building is of relatively recent construction, it represents an obsolete and vanishing property type. The building is irregular in plan (with a five-sided polygonal footprint) with rough-faced CMU (concrete masonry unit) walls and an irregular, metal-clad roof (the roof features five distinct planes of different shapes and sizes). The front elevation faces southwest towards a large, paved parking lot and features large, metal-framed store windows with glass doors located at three separate locations. The southernmost door provides access to a restaurant space that functioned separately from the video rental space. The entrance to the video rental space is accented via a pyramidal roof that projects over the sidewalk. Opposite this is a square, glass-block tower with metal framing and a pyramidal metal roof that was a trademark feature of the nationwide Family Video franchise.
