NOTES
Additional Information:Surveyed in 2023 by UWM-CRM as part of a CTH A reconstruction project. This two story Gabled Ell house was built prior to 1875. The house has a fieldstone foundation and has vinyl siding and a modern composition shingle roof. The windows are modern vinyl replacements and are a mix of double-hungs, picture windows, and sliders. The front elevation has a full-width gabled porch with a poured concrete foundation, concrete floor, and metal posts. The building is part of a 40-acre farmstead that was established in the early 1870s by the Meyer family. By the late nineteenth century, the farmstead was owned by the Henry Kreutzinger family. The Kreutzingers established a cheese factory around 1900 (noted in the “Illustrated Historical Atlas of Sheboygan County Wisconsin,” published in Sheboygan in 1902 by the Joerns Brothers). Today, the farmstead contains the house, a modern garage (AHI #245445), and seven historic outbuildings including a bank barn (AHI #245446), a small stone outbuilding (AHI #82839), a corn crib (AHI #245449), three sheds (AHI #245447, 245450, 245451), and the former creamery building (AHI #245448).
