Additional Information: | ROUND ARCHED WINDOWS. CURVED FACADE W/ENTRY ON CNR. Previously surveyed in 1998, at which time it was known as the Treasure Chest. The bank itself was originally established in 1890 as the Bank of Eagle River and chartered as a state bank in 1903. It was not until 1922, under new ownership, that the bank sought recognition as a National Bank. This location served the bank for almost sixty years, with at least one expansion made to the building along the North Railroad Street side. In 1980, a new building was erected for the bank and this building was adapted for commercial use. In 2004, it was home to the Moccasin Shop and Treasure Chest. |
