Additional Information: | 2022 - This Boomtown building was constructed in 1870 on a corner lot. The building has a rectangular footprint, clad in wooden clapboards with a concrete block foundation and an asphalt shingled roof. The primary elevation faces southeast, with a front-gabled roof and a bracketed false front. The entryway is located in the center of the primary elevation, consisting of a metal door flanked by single-paned sidelights. The raised stoop is accessed via a flight of concrete steps, and the wrought iron railing for the stairs is inset with Masonic symbols. Two-over-two double hung windows are found on either side of the entrance, and a bay of two one-over-one double hung windows with a transom is located directly above. The gabled false front contains scrolled wooden brackets in the cornice. The window above the entry as well as the windows on the southern elevation are flanked by decorative shutters. The raised basement on the southern elevation contains a secondary entrance and high windows filled with glass block. |
