Additional Information: | This Two Story Cube house was constructed c.1870. It is rectangular in plan with a coursed ashlar foundation, red brick walls, and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof. The front elevation faces north and is asymmetrical in composition. A flat-roofed enclosed porch projects from the center of the front elevation. This contains a central doorway with a bank of four 1-over-1 windows on one side and a downsized single-pane, fixed-sash window on the other side (the surrounding space is filled with a plywood panel). The remainder of the enclosed porch is clad in clapboards. The second story contains a single wood panel door that provides access to the porch roof and two singly-placed 1-over-1 windows. A wood railing around the porch roof has largely fallen away. A front-gabled dormer projects from the east side of the front roof slope; this contains a single window opening and the surrounding wall space is clad in patterned wood shingles. |
