Additional Information: | This 2-story Colonial Revival house was constructed at its current location c.1910 (information from the local historical society suggests that this house was originally located on the opposite side of School Street, but was relocated c.1910 when the house at 406 School Street was constructed). It is rectangular in plan with vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled hipped roof with a flared front eave that extends to shelter a full-height portico with four regularly-spaced squared supports. The front elevation faces south and is asymmetrical in composition due to an off-center front door. The door is accentuated by a Classically inspired surround. The remainder of the first story of the façade contains a window bank consisting of a picture window flanked by 1-over-1 windows. The second story contains a 1-over-1 window and a pair of 1-over-1 windows. All windows and the front door feature decorative shutters. |
