NOTES
Additional Information:
Bibliographic References:Assessor’s information cites a 1935 date of construction and a 1928 (updated to 1945) Sanborn fire insurance map shows a smaller, brick-veneered building at this location, which is believed to be the center of the subject building. By no later than 1946, Dr. Raymond Frankow operated a medical office at this location, as did Dr. Alvin Grundahl. Based on a change in brickwork, an addition was made to the east end of the building circa 1950 (while Frankow & Grundahl still occupied the building). The addition to the west was completed in 2002-03, “Plans for addition and alterations, Kieckhafer Dietzler Hauser, LLP, 627 Elm Street,” Prepared by JP Storrs Co., Inc., Architects, August 2002, Plans in building permit file.
