Additional Information: | 2021: The main block of this Front Gable Vernacular Form house is two-stories tall, it is rectilinear in plan, has cut stone foundation walls, and the exterior walls that rest on this foundation are clad in narrow wood clapboards and they are sheltered by the front gable main roof. There is also a small gable-roofed one-story ell attached to the rear of the main block, which gives the whole a T-plan. The main façade faces northeast onto Beloit Street, and it is three-bays-wide, with the center bay containing the main entrance. This entrance is sheltered by an open, shed-roofed front porch supported by turned columns and the entrance is flanked on either side by a single window opening that contains a one-over-light double hung window, as do all the house’s other window openings. This house was probably built ca.1900. |
