Additional Information: | This rest cabin appears to have been constructed in the late 1970s or early 1980s when Telemark Resort expanded its cross country trail system. The one-story, one-room log building has a rectangular footprint and side-gabled roof with metal sheathing. The symmetrical facade has a central door with a fixed wood window to either side with false muntins. The building is constructed of rounded logs with saddle-notch corners and a red-colored daubing. The ends of the roof purlins are exposed in the gables. This cabin is not located within the historic boundary of the NRHP-eligible Mount Telemark property, nor is it located along or otherwise associated with the American Birkenbeiner Trail. |
