NOTES
Additional Information:This 1-story Minimal Traditional house was constructed in 1949. It is L-shaped in plan with stone, clapboard, and vertical board walls and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces west and is asymmetrical in composition with a projecting front-gabled mass at the southern end of the façade; this is clad in dark stone veneer with vertical boards with scalloped edging under the gable; a large picture window is located at the center of the front wall (the window is currently covered by an exterior blind). North of this, a wide exterior chimney base rises through the roof peak of the main building mass which also features vertical boards with scalloped edges under the gable. A small plaque in the chimney base reads “J.H.D. / 1949.” Immediately north of this is a recessed porch; the overhanging roof is supported by a square post that rests on a low stone wall. Horizontal beams between the post and the chimney suggest a breezeway style window. Behind this, in the west wall of the main building mass, is the front door. North of this is a single overhead garage door.
