Additional Information: | This one-story barn was built ca. 1960 (sometime between 1957 and 1964 based on aerials). It occupies a rectangular footprint and terminates in a gambrel roof that is sheathed in asphalt shingles. Two wood barn doors that appear to be original are symmetrically placed on the resource’s primary, south elevation. The resource lacks windows and is clad in wood vertical board. It appears to be unaltered and is in fair physical condition. A resource that appears to be a ca. 1960 former garage (AHI Number 242918) is located immediately west of the resource. The barn forms part of a farmstead that consists of a ca. 1945 farmhouse (AHI Number 242857); ca. 1945 silo (AHI Number 242915); ca. 1945 former garage (AHI Number 242916); ca. 1945 gambrel-roof barn (AHI Number 242858); a ca. 1960 former garage that appears to have been converted to storage use (AHI Number 242918); and a ca. 1995 storage building. |
