| Additional Information: | This 2-story Queen Anne house was constructed c.1900 and currently serves as a funeral home. It is irregular in plan with vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled cross-gable roof. The front elevation faces northeast and is asymmetrical in plan with a 1-story porch wrapping around the north corner; the porch has scrolled metal supports and shelters a pair of wood-framed glass doors. Inside the porch, the exterior wall of the house has been clad in brick veneer. South of the porch is a projecting bay; the bay window has been covered by a signboard reading “Horan Funeral Home.” A single 1-over-1 window is centered in the wall at the second story of the northeast elevation. A porte-cochere projects from the northwest elevation, above which rises a corner tower capped by a steeply-pitched roof. A large addition projects from the building’s southwest elevation, more than doubling the footprint of the original building. |
