Additional Information: | 2020 - This one-and-a-half-story astylistic Minimal Traditional farmhouse was constructed ca. 1945 (sometime between 1938 and 1951 based on aerials). It occupies a rectangular footprint and terminates in a side-gable roof that is sheathed in asphalt shingles. A brick chimney is placed on the slope of the roof. A front gable projects out slightly towards the middle of the building’s primary, east elevation. An entrance and window are contained under this front gable. The entrance consists of a replacement partially glazed door with a storm door, with a hipped-roof door hood overhead. A concrete stoop with a decorative metal railing is located in front of the entrance. Windows flank the front-gable portion of the façade. The house is clad in vinyl siding and windows are replacement aluminum units. The property faces Maloney Road and features a grass lawn. Mature trees are located to the north, south, and west of the building. Alterations include the installation of vinyl siding, replacement aluminum windows, and a replacement door and storm door at the primary entrance within the past ca. 20 years. The house forms part of a farmstead that consists of a ca. 1945 front-gable former garage that currently appears to be used for storage approximately 52 feet west of the house (AHI Number 242916); a ca. 1945 gambrel-roof barn approximately 42 feet northwest of the house (AHI Number 242858); a ca. 1945 silo adjacent to the barn and approximately 68 feet northwest of the house (AHI Number 242915); a small ca. 1960 barn approximately 93 feet north of the house (AHI Number 242917); a ca. 1960 former garage that appears to have been converted to storage use approximately 100 feet north-northwest of the house (AHI Number 242918); and a ca. 1995 storage building approximately 117 feet northwest of the house. A gravel drive forms a loop in front of AHI Number 242858 and also extends to what appears to be a parking area on the north end of the parcel. An agricultural field is in the western half of the parcel occupied by the subject farmstead. |
