NOTES
Additional Information:01//2021: The property comprises a historic-age dwelling, a non-historic-age garage, and at least one historic-age agricultural outbuilding that was not visible from the public ROW. The resource is a ca. 1910 one-story cube dwelling associated with a non-historic-age outbuilding. The dwelling has undergone multiple rounds of addition and alteration, including a shed-roofed addition to the primary and lateral elevations that obscure its original form, footprint, and fenestration pattern. The dwelling features a pyramidal roof of standing-seam metal with a central brick chimney, asbestos cladding, and replacement aluminum windows. No other details were visible from the public ROW at the time of the survey.

The property was owned by W. Valentine in 1914 and John Stelphflug in 1918 according to the Grant County Plat Maps (Geo. A. Ogle & Company 1918; Kenyon Company 1914). The dwelling (a) is depicted on the 1918 Plat Map (Geo. A. Ogle & Company 1918). Additional historic aerial imagery research revealed that the resource is included on the 1953 aerial and 1955 Cassville quadrangle map (NETR 2020 and USGS 1955). An outbuilding depicted on the 1955 Cassville quadrangle map was replaced by 1994 according to historic aerial imagery (USGS 1955 and NETR 2020).
