NOTES
Additional Information:September 2020:
The resource is located on the south side of Hegstrom Road, with agricultural fields to the east, south, and west.

#242144 consists of a dwelling, a barn, a Quonset hut, and a shed. According to historic topographic and aerial maps, the one-and-a-half story dwelling was built in circa 1940 (NETROnline 2020, USDA 1939, USGS 1942, USDA 1947, USDA 1964). The dwelling has a side-gabled, asphalt shingle roof and replacement vinyl siding. It has shed dormers on its north and south elevations and features replacement one-over-one and sliding vinyl windows arranged in single and double configurations. A circa 1980 gabled garage addition is located on the south elevation, and a post-2015 wrap-around porch is located on the original block’s west, north, and east elevations. A circa 1940 ground barn is located to the south of the dwelling. The barn has a metal Gothic roof, metal siding in the upper gable ends, and original horizontal-oriented wood siding on the south elevation above the concrete masonry unit walls of the first story. Fenestration includes glass block windows and hinged wooden doors. To the northeast of the barn is a circa 1960 Quonset hut equipment shed. It has an asphalt shingle roof, drop siding, and a concrete masonry unit foundation. It features a sliding barn door, personnel door, and fixed, single-pane windows. A circa 1940 shed is located to the south of the dwelling and has an interlocking asphalt shingle clad clipped gable roof, tar paper siding (with some modern house wrap on the west elevation), and a concrete masonry unit foundation. The roof ridge is capped with a galvanized metal cap with ball finial ends on either side. It has replacement vinyl windows, including one placed in the original wood door, and has a metal port and metal flue on the south roof plane. All structures are in fair to good condition.
