NOTES
Additional Information:The history of the Lone Rock Airport (Tri-County Regional) Airport is detailed under the AHI record for the flight service station (#242138). The barrel-roof garage that stands in the far northwest corner of the airport was built ca. 1945-50. It is one of the two oldest buildings on the property, and a historic postcard from 1951 indicates its original function was a hangar for small planes. The photograph indicates the southern elevation was originally open but later enclosed. The current set of large set of doors are in poor condition, and the metal siding in the gable-end is worn and weathered, but the roof and sidewalls have been re-clad with modern metal sheeting. Overall, the building retains its form, and alterations have been in keeping with its historic appearance. The building presently serves as a storage garage.
