NOTES
Additional Information:Surveyed in July 2020 by UWM-CRM as part of the WisDOT USH 63 reconstruction project.

The Ranch-style Ambrose Motel was built around 1965. The motel is roughly L-shaped in plan and consists of a single-loaded row of guest rooms that are accessed from the exterior. The single-story building is clad in buff brick and has a hipped roof with asphalt shingles. A gable-roofed wing projects from the center of the overall building; this portion is clad in wide aluminum siding and contains the motel office. Fenestration in the guest rooms consists of picture windows flanked by four-light windows, with flat panel entry doors to each room. The office has replacement slider and casement windows. Signage on the motel appears to be historic, including neon “MOTEL” and “OFFICE / VACANCY” signs on the office, and a neon sign at the road reading “AMBROSE MOTEL” with a large midcentury modern-style arrow bearing the word ENTRANCE.
