| Additional Information: | Surveyed in July 2020 by UWM-CRM as part of the WisDOT USH 63 reconstruction project. This 1 ½ story Dutch Colonial Revival-style house was built around 1925. The house is rectangular in plan and has a gambrel roof with a long front dormer. A small shed-roofed sunroom projects from the east end of the house. The house is clad in rough-textured wide shingles, and the roof is clad in modern shingles. The front elevation is symmetrical, and the front door is centered and flanked by sidelights. A classical surround consisting of thin pilasters and a simplified cornice frames the door. One-over-one double hung windows with louvered shutters are located on either side of the door, and three double hung windows are located in the dormer. All the windows on the front elevation appear to be modern replacements, along with the louvered shutters. The sunroom contains groups of eight-light casement windows with storm windows and shutters. The storm windows and shutters appear to be replacements, but the casements windows may be original. A row of brackets, intended to support planter boxes, is located beneath each window group. |
