NOTES
Additional Information:This 2-story Contemporary funeral home was constructed in 1954 and expanded in 1966. It is rectangular in plan with a concrete foundation, stone veneer and stucco walls, and a flat roof. The building consists of a large 2-story mass (built in 1954) with a 1-story addition (built in 1966) along the east elevation. The front elevation faces north and contains a one-story entry bay with a central pair of metal-framed glass doors with large pairs of fixed-sash windows on each side; the front door is sheltered under a projecting flat-roofed awning with metal supports. The remainder of the building is clad in stone veneer at the first story and stucco at the second story. The second story contains wrap-around multi-frame casement windows at the front corners. Secondary entrances are located along the west elevation, one of which is sheltered under a flat roofed awning with metal supports. With the exception of a vertical band of glass block windows in the west elevation, the majority of windows are multi-pane casements. Historically, the first story of the building functioned as the funeral home and mortuary space while the second story served as living space for the funeral home owner and family.
