Additional Information:2020
This park pavilion was constructed circa 1950. It is T-shaped in plan with the primary façade facing north along Rawson Avenue. The one-story building is constructed of brick with a random coursed limestone veneer on the primary façade. The front-projecting gable contains a large bay window under a hipped-roof awning, with a filled-in round window opening in the peak of the gable above. The front entrance is located in the ell of the projecting gable and side gabled wing and sheltered by a low-pitch shed roof supported by arched limestone openings. Multi-paned casement windows are evenly spaced along the side-gabled wing. The side and rear facades of the building are constructed of red brick, with a secondary entrance located on the eastern façade, facing the parking lot. According to floorplans provided by Milwaukee County Parks, the interior of the pavilion contains a large banquet room with stage, a kitchen area, and bathrooms.
