Additional Information: | 2019: The two-story former school building was built in 1959. It has stucco walls and a flat roof with metal coping at the roofline. The front (south) facade has metal ribbon awning windows on the first and second stories. A series of vents run beneath the second-story windows. The front facade also includes a covered entry with flat roof and original metal double doors with fixed sidelights and transom. Concrete steps and a ramp with metal railings lead up to the front entrance. The west (side) elevation has grouped four-light windows. An open, covered vestibule with a flat roof protrudes from the side (east) elevation. According to a letter from the City of Madison Preservation Planner in a property site file, this building was constructed as St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic School in 1959. The Salvation Army occupied the building by the mid-to-late 1980s. 2025: Demolition permit filed. A demolition permit application was filed on August 14, 2019.
