Additional Information: | 2019 (by Heritage Research, Ltd.) - The character of this one-story, quarried stone-sheathed, Ranch house embodies several components of the style including its low-pitched, hipped roof and wide eave overhang. Oriented on a north/south axis and facing N. Port Washington Road to the west, the house has a “U” shaped driveway that provides access to the single-car garage, the southernmost component of the house. To the left (north) is a significantly recessed porch sheltered by the hipped roof, at the back of which is a large picture window flanked by two, narrow, ten-light windows. And to the left of the porch the wall again projects as far west as that of the garage. In that wall are two, twelve-light windows off-set slightly to the left (north). The north side of the house has three symmetrically-placed windows, a large, centered, glass block window flanked by two sashes. There are no windows or openings on the south side of the house. |
